KOIKE AMIGOS

Illustrator and picture book author living in Tomigaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Former president of Tokyo Illustrators Society. Chairman of the School Management Council of Tomigaya Elementary School in Shibuya Ward. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, he did fieldwork in the Tohoku region and created artworks. He has held exhibitions in various places in Japan and also holds drawing workshops for children. In the Tomigaya area of Shibuya Ward, he promotes the community art project “Tomigaya Model” and collaborates with the Shibuya Future Department of elementary schools. Picture book “Harunohi” won the Japan Picture Book Award.
